Antique / Vintage Factory Wooden Mold / Pattern / Tool Industrial Salvage

This is an Antique / Vintage Wooden Mold / Pattern / Tool Salvaged from a Factory or other Industrial Venue.
The tool appears to be a pattern for making four identical small 1 1/2" x 2" decorations at a time.   It looked to me like the decorations would probably have been die stamped or similar from thin sheet metal stock, but I do not know the specifics of the process or materials employed for sure.  We also do not know the age of the tool specifically.
The overall dimensions of the wooden block for the pattern is 13 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 2 3/4".  I do not know the type of wood for sure.  There back is marked with black grease pencil or similar with a part or pattern number "P19 2228" as seen.
There is a small metal piece that appears to be some sort of industrial / mechanical part mounted on the back as a hanger.  I do not know if this was for hanging the tools with other when not in use in a factory setting, or if this was added later by someone to re-purpose the tool as a piece of industrial art / wall decor.

Condition:
The tool has what appears to be a natural crack mark from age / shrinking on the top and extends a bit down onto the sides, as seen in the photos.  The two long side panels have what appears to be rough cut sawn marks from the original creation of the block used as the basis for the tool.
